Payload_Preamble Has No Signal

Hi,

During the checking your simulink model, I have found the Payload_Preamble signal in Packet_Timing_Control block has no output (always zeros).
Meantime I found the Done signal in Equalizer_&_Packetizer block has also no output. Do you know why?

Thanks,
Henry Xu

Re: Payload_Preamble Has No Signal

It sounds like some setting in the Rx PHY model is preventing successful packet detection.

The latest OFDM model (rev660 at the moment; latest rev in general) will simulate with 0 BER without any changes. There are a bunch of parameters in the Rx PHY that could be preventing reception (correlation thresholds, packet detection mode, antenna selection, etc.). Make sure your model and init scripts are in sync with the repository and see if it works better.

Re: Payload_Preamble Has No Signal

Where can I find the settings for all registers in the RX PHY? Thanks. -Henry

Re: Payload_Preamble Has No Signal

In simulation, the values are set by the OFDM model's Tx init and Rx init scripts. In hardware, the models are initialized by WARPMAC. WARPMAC relies on the model's drivers, which you can find in /drivers/ in the reference design.
